I've been there! (just for the record, I am NOT completely off topic)
Hey dude, thanks for the suggestion about GIMP, but it looks so daunting! I barely learned how to do the Microsoft paint, DUH, she said.
I just did these (referring to color pics, ignore the old black and white scanned photos from the Freep) http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/media/set/?set=a.2068459476653.126721.1399823366

Damned hard to take photos from a 34 year old movie! I might have to take your advice after all... my husband thinks I look great in the movie; it was 10 years before he met me. Ha.
PS: that is a dangerously subversive movie about an ILLEGAL weed, so you might need to delete. ;)
I don't think The GIMP is all that difficult, considering what it is capable of doing. I mostly use it for basic color correction and cropping, but just about every picture on my blog has gone through it. MS Paint wasn't good in 1992, and hasn't improved since--while it is technically possible to do some pretty amazing pictures in Paint, it is kind of like building a ship in a bottle--it isn't the result that is amazing, it is that you managed to get their in Paint.
I'm not a topic Nazi--if you are actually responding to something I said somewhere, I'm fine.
I'm also not offended by pro-pot protests--I don't want any, but that shouldn't mean it should be illegal.
I am libertarian-leaning, interested in guns, old watches, books and politics. I like to debate--feel free to comment even (or especially) if you disagree with me.
One of my peeves is blogs that appear to allow comments but don't publish them, or only publish the ones they agree with, not explaining their rules. This is especially annoying when I discover this after spending time on a reply.
So far, I allow all comments that are on topic, without regard to whether they agree with me or not.
If someone makes a comment trying to take an internet squabble to the real world--outing a blogger, posting personal information, etc--I'll probably delete that. I will also probably delete posts that are trying to sell stuff, or promote another website more than they are on topic. Comments on fresh posts get published immediately, unless caught by Blogger's spam filter. Comments on older posts get held until I release them.
